What the service covers

  • A rights map for every family member under each candidate route: work, study, healthcare access, status on change of employer
  • School transitions planned across both stations, with admission timing and language of instruction considered for the child's own mobility capital
  • Healthcare and insurance arrangements by status and jurisdiction
  • Tax residence consequences of each move, coordinated with the family's tax advisers
  • Family structures: the affiliates, joint ventures and vehicles that make intra-company and investor routes available, coordinated with legal advisers
  • Absence management for statuses with residency obligations

Why it is planned from the start

A route that is right for the principal and wrong for the family fails. The spouse of an L-1 holder in the United States may work incident to status; the spouse of an H-1B holder generally may not without separate authorisation. A dependant in Singapore needs a pass of their own to work. A child who moves at the wrong point in a school year loses a year. WG Private puts these facts on the table at the first assessment, before the route is chosen.
