What the service covers

  • Assessment of the group's entities and the affiliate relationships that intra-company routes require, in each candidate destination
  • Design of the assignment so that the role, the reporting line and the deliverables are real and documented, and so that the qualifying year is clean
  • Selection of the first station for what it builds and the second for what it opens, with a written decision point at twelve months
  • Status applications for the principal and family at each station, with external counsel in each jurisdiction
  • The monthly evidence pack and the renewal, change and permanence filings it supports
  • Exit planning: remaining until permanence, early transfer where the law allows, joint-venture structures, or sponsorship by the family's own affiliate

How it connects to Magellan Global's programme

Magellan Global operates the Global Successor Residency Program, in which a successor is employed by Magellan, develops AI-transformation or AI-assisted research capability through real engagements for the family's enterprise, and is assigned across the group's offices. WG's role in that programme is the separately scoped mobility assessment and coordination described on this page. Families may also engage WG Corporate directly for a successor assignment within their own group of companies, without participating in the Magellan programme.

What WG will not do

  • Design an assignment in which the person has a title but no substantive duties
  • Describe any route as a guaranteed outcome
  • Proceed where the client requires day-to-day direction of the employee
  • Accept a candidate who is out of status in the country where they currently live
