A family platform.
A separate residence decision.

Family-office tax incentives and Variable Capital Companies organise investment activity. They do not independently grant an Employment Pass, permanent residence or citizenship.

Global Investor Programme (GIP): permanent residence through business or family-office investment

The Global Investor Programme is Singapore's investor route to permanent residence. It is run by the Economic Development Board, which assesses the applicant's business or investment record, and ICA, which grants PR once the investment is verified. The three investment options require S$10 million in a business, S$25 million in a GIP-select fund, or a single family office with at least S$200 million under management, and the renewal of the re-entry permit is tied to employment, investment and residence conditions.

Permanent residence and citizenship: the PTS scheme, re-entry permits and National Service

Singapore grants permanent residence at ICA's discretion to work-pass holders, family members of citizens and PRs, students and investors. There is no points table and no published quota; ICA weighs family ties, economic contribution, qualifications, age, family profile, length of residence and the applicant's ability to integrate. PR is kept by maintaining a re-entry permit, brings CPF and, for sons, National Service, and is the normal precondition for citizenship.

Dependant's Pass and Long-Term Visit Pass: family status, work rules and the Letter of Consent

A Dependant's Pass lets the legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 of an eligible work-pass holder live in Singapore; a Long-Term Visit Pass covers common-law spouses, step-children, handicapped adult children and parents. Since 1 May 2021 a dependant who wishes to work must obtain a work pass of their own, with a Letter of Consent reserved for qualifying business owners. The sponsor's fixed monthly salary, not household income, decides eligibility.
